Funny, but wrong, as "faith healing" is likely exploiting a facet of the placebo effect, which stubornly continues to be significant.
And it is widely recognised that in cases where there is no(medical) hope at all, the action of seeking and finding anything preporting to be helpfull, often gives a sense of hope and added strength where science/medicine has nothing to offer, and for religious people it is actualy harmfull to have there faith disputed..,.so
But cholera, lord fuck a duck, just such a bad bad look.
Personaly ,I try and tread a line between freedom of religion, and freedom from religion.
Raised in a medical family, and there are storys of patients, who would never come in to seek medical attention while they were sick....only after they recovered....as there proud country manners would not let them come in while they were sick, and unpresentable......to the doctors they held in such high regard, so they would get an appointment, purely one must presume, for the social and emotional suport, of bieng confirmed, well.
Many many such storys, the take away bieng, to never undersetimate what humans can do with nothing more than there will, and a little faith, and some charm, or placebo.
Faith sickening is far more effective than faith healing.
